By the age of 21 this dance music purist had spent more than half a decade developing his mixing & production techniques digitally, & had successfully founded the popular dance music community 'Phat City' for the state of Queensland in Australia. Lately it’s not unusual to find Hejira frequently featured on local event line ups due to a demand from organisers such as PHD, Konflikt DJz, Renewable NRG, System 6, Ritual, Fuze, Traffic, Kranky Digital, Intencity, Pulse, Toy Box, Mayhem, Mystique & Transmission production crew events.
The Step Inn & Kranky Digital resident DJ has become a valuable asset to the Brisbane clubbing scene as he continues to release popular online mixes, & by having been chosen to support international acts & national icons such as Jaytech, Noise Controllers, Kamui, David Forbes & Maloorca Lee (Public Domain), The Pitcher, Jon The Baptist, Pila, Mike Nicol, Yilmaz Altanhan, Hellraiser, Tydi, Bexta, Weaver, & Suae to name just a few. Hejira was also picked to represent Australia on the global stage Afterhours.FM in 2007.
Armed with extensive versatility, character, & an energetic stage presence, the relentless energy he brings to a venue is only matched by the most renowned industrial & hardcore performers, providing a powerful & accessible sound that can fill a dance floor quickly.
